Since its foundation, the « The Kayaleh Violin Academy » has evolved considerably to become today a prestigious institution boasting worldwide recognition.

Young musicians from some of the world’s best music schools are regularly sent to Switzerland in order to perfect their art within this institution. Furthermore, the activities undertaken by the Academy’s founder, the violinist Habib Kayaleh, stretch far beyond the Swiss border. He does all he can to spread his teachings, taking them from Switzerland where they were founded, to the world’s most prestigious centres for music – from Russia, Georgia and Hungary, all the way to Japan and to North and South America.

The Friends Society aims at helping the Kayaleh Violin Academy in every way possible. It supports the Academy on the one hand by allocating study grants to gifted yet underprivileged students, and on the other by covering the organisational costs for public activities such as public masterclasses, public concerts and so forth. Also, the Society is very concerned about the evolution of the Kayaleh Chamber Orchestra, a prestigious multinational ensemble formed by the virtuosi musicians who perfect their art within the walls of the Kayaleh Violin Academy. This orchestra has established itself an international reputation in the world of the Arts and performs in major centres often accompanying soloists of international renown.

Today, the Society intends to support the Academy in its everyday proceedings, thus garanteeing the help required for its continuous growth. We hereby invite you to become a member of our Society, as your participation would be an honour and your contribution is both precious and vital to the artistic cause the Society aims to uphold.

Should you wish to receive further information regarding the Academy, please inform us, as we would be more than happy to provide you with a detailed brochure covering all of its activities.

We sincerely hope we will be able to count you among our valued members and benefactors and we look forward to welcoming you to our group.
